The Old Town canoe with serial number 173143 is a 16 foot long Guide's model with dacron in place of canvas, seats, and a keel. It was built between June and July, 1963. The original exterior dacron covering was G. S. (Guide's Special) green. It shipped on June 23rd, 1965 to Newbury, Mass. These scans and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well.
