oarlocks on 47 ot square stern

Enthusiastic about Wooden Canoes
can anyone provide information on oarlocks from thie era? The mounted part has a nib @1 1/2" tall seems to be brass. What did the oarlocks look like and are there any out there? Also would the bow seat have been canned and if so waas it pressed?

The attached image shows what these oarlocks look like when complete. This style was used by Old Town for a lot of years...

They turn up regularly on Ebay, and new ones are still available from Shaw & Tenney. Best to buy them as matched sets, because there is enough variation that loose horns don't often match the plates.
