Last Paddle of The Year

Jane and I have a tradition of canoeing on New Years. The lake is usually frozen but the outlet always has a little of ice free water. We get some strange looks from folks heading to the ski area but no matter. Have a great new year of canoe building, restoration, and paddling. Jane and Pete

Got a last paddle in too!

Took a last paddle where I normally see ice fisherman this time of year on Irondequoit Bay off Lake Ontario. A bit dreary but temperatures were in the mid forties and I got to see a pair of bald eagles as a reward.
