Wide Board...what's it say?

Treewater

Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
I've not encountered names on canoes. If I'd expected this I could have saved the name. All that I can read is first four and last three;

QUI(?)N........AUQ. QUIN**AUQ
Any guesses?

My board and batten surprised me by having a name. It had been part of a hire fleet on the river Great Ouse in Bedford Uk

Thank you. I wish I had known in advance. I was outside stripping paint and never saw it until I brought it inside. Naturally, when replacing canvas this never comes up. You did good work. And the presence of a period at the end is also helpful. I've got the same but we don't use a period like that anymore.

Continuing to study the name.
My recent look sees....QUIN*DAUG
I keep searching online for names. Whatever the name I believe it's French. Yes?
Given that Quin is double "n" this becomes "QUINNDAUG". What's that mean?
