WCHA presence at Seven Ponds Nature Center

Dave Wermuth

Who hid my paddle?
Seven Ponds Nature Center holds its Heritage Harvest Days festival in September. We attended and displayed: a Ferdy Goode BB canoe, a Thompson Hiawatha, restored by Gil Cramer, a 1920 50 pound canoe restored by me, (but it actually weighed 56# with keel and stembands), a Walter Dean Sunnyside Torpedo. We did not display the dugout canoe owned by Seven Ponds. We also did some touch up to some nasty scratches on a Penn Yan Hunter I restored and donated to Seven Ponds a few years ago. Picutered is WCHA member Emory Clark keeping an eye on the fleet. But I cannot load a png file and don't know how to convert to jpeg.

Next year we are having a class on canvassing a canoe.
