I have been working on the restoration of a longitudinal strip built all-wood canoe for some time, but do not know the builder. It has some characteristics that make me think it is a Peterborough. This canoe had steel stembands, suggesting it may have been built during WW2. If I am reading Dan Millers' canoe ID pages correctly, only 3 longitudinal strip built models were sold during the war years: the Canadien, the Lake Queen, and in 1941 only the Riverdale. If someone could post a scan of the page of a war years Peterborough catalog with their strip-built offerings, specifically listing the grades, painted hull options, floorboard & accessory options, etc., that would be a great help. Thanks. Tom McCloud
