Thomson canoe works

Hey guys, Any info on Schuyler Thomson. His company history? Did he sell to someone ? I've got a job restoring, repairing some square sterns of his, actually a bunch of them. I'd love to know a little more about them. All seam to have the same issues, tears in the canvas and rotton transoms. They don't seem to be that old. Any info would help. Dave
