Can you supply some pictures of the serial numbers from each end and confirm the overall length of this canoe? Kennebec put serial number 107 on: a 17 foot long Belgrade boat in 1914, a 16 foot long Work boat in 1918, a 13 foot long Whiz Boy in 1927, and a 6 foot long Kiddie Craft in 1931. Their number M 107 or 100107 went on a 17 foot long Kineo Special in 1923 and number 10716 went on an 18 foot long Kennebec model in 1916.
Many long deck canoes with low serial numbers were made by various Charles River area builders but there are no known records for these as you probably know. Some pictures of the planking pattern may help identify if it is one of these.
