New to this forum and not a canoe enthusiast myself, but recently inherited a 1948 Seliga Canoe. The estate probate is in progress now and we plan on selling the canoe and I'm wondering if there is any interest out there for it. Have been in contact with Dan Lindquist who has provided me with quite a bit of info on it, as he has the records to all of Joes canoes. This one is a green, square stern with SN 48 116.
I have asked Dan to give us an estimate on value for resale and without seeing it in person, from what he has been able to tell by the pics, the canoe is in really good shape so he suggested we start out at $6000 range and see what happens.
