The Old Town canoe with serial number 47041 is a 15 foot long, CS (common sense or middle) grade, fifty pound model with red western cedar planking, closed spruce gunwales, birch decks, birch trim, and a keel. It was built between December, 1916 and February, 1918. The original exterior paint color was slate. It shipped on February, 15th 1918 to Chicago, Illinois. This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others.
