Pen Yan Ser #s

I have a 12 FT Penn Yan Flier Cartop. Ser #QXH54348. I know thes boats were made from 1953 to 1962. Is there any way to tell by the ser# the exact date this boat was made?

Information from the Dragonfly.com website (http://dragonflycanoe.com/id/index.html-- scroll to Penn Yan on the left) indicates QXH gives you the boat model and possibly the wood species (in this case, the Flier car top in spruce) and the numbers 54348 indicate the 348th boat of its type built in 1954.
