The Old Town canoe with serial number 123698 is shown as 17 feet long, CS (standard) grade, HW (Heavy Water) model with open spruce gunwales and fitted with a keel. The canoe was built in 1937-38. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It was shipped to Saranac Lake, New York on July 8, 1938.

The canoe was also built in 1937-38; the original exterior paint color was also dark green; and it also was shipped to Saranac Lake, New York on July 8, 1938.
