Old Town Dingy

Forester
Greetings,
For the past 5 years at the Great Mountain Forest (GMF), a group of enthusiastic foresters volunteer their time to restore a donated wood/canvas canoe. The finished product is then raffled off to help support education programs for adults and children. Recently we have been donated a 10' Old Town dingey that was built in 1929, it still has it's original canvas with its name "WASP" on the bow.
I have included some before photos for peoples interest.

It is always great to see the original designs and name plates. Thanks for sharing,

Benson

It's interesting that the wood grain on the deck/breast hook runs side to side rather than front to back as is usually encountered. From a practical point of view I guess it doesn't make much difference, just interesting. It's a nice boat.
