Hi,
Old Town serial numbers consist of 5 or 6 digits followed by a space and the length of the canoe, such as 12345 16. I'll give you a link to where you look for the serial number-- my guess this is a registration number of some kind. It's also possible your canoe was built by someone other than Old Town, so it may help if you post pictures of the canoe-- especially the deck, if it's a short-decked canoe.
Here's where to look for the serial number. The canoe in the video is a 1946 Old Town with a "newer" version of the Old Town short deck, used on a majority of Old Town canoes.
