Name of Michigan Canoe Restorer

I live in Traverse City, Michigan and have heard there is a person who restores canvas canoes at a shop in Benzie County. However, I can not find his contact information. Does anyone know of a restoration expert in this area of Michigan?

for what it's worth, and I could be wrong, I think I heard that a restorer in that neck of the woods had passed away. Dave McDaniel may be your best source of info.
