Minnesota UFO - Peterborough? Chestnut? Canadian?

Curious about Wooden Canoes
I posted some photos of this canoe awhile ago in the wood-canvas forum and realized just yesterday that is appears I chose the wrong place to ask about this old canoe.

Please take a look at the photos in the album below. I've attached to this thread as well.

During my searches, I stumbled across this webpage:

http://www.timberlinecanoes.com/1945_Peterborough_restoration.html

This is the closest thing I have found so far. Could this canoe be an old Peterborough? When did Peterborough,..and Chestnut,...change their deck design from the heart-shaped variety? I have not found any serial numbers anywhere so far but the varnish is so dark and thick, they may be there, just hidden away. Could somewhere steer me in the direction of where to look? They do not seem to be in the same location as the OT canoes.

Thanks

Your links didn't work for me, Mlackore. I remember seeing your post before and hoped someone would reply. Your canoe reminds me of a Racine I once had, but I can't be sure. Are there signs that the outwales were riveted on? My Racine had a serial number on a rib at the bow end.

Thanks Kathryn and sorry about the links...I must have goofed them up somehow. I have fixed them if you'd like to take another look.

Mike,

I forgot to mention, that's a nice looking boat in the back ground, 18 ft'er?
And do you get the trout and steelhead off those down riggers.

Dan
sorry, I still don't have any ideas about the canoe.
