I picked a canoe out of an old barn last week and was trying to learn more about it. The serial number is 25892 16 or 125892 ?
Can anybody tell me what I have?

Looking for info on an old town canoe

Eric,
Old Town serial number 25892 belonged to a 15-foot boat, so that's probably not the correct number. Old Town number 125892 belonged to a 16-foot CS (or common sense) grade HW model that was built in 1938 and shipped in 1939 to Houston, Texas. It had open spruce gunwales, and ash decks, thwarts and seats, plus a keel. Its original color was dark green.
