I've "paddled" around the site for sometime, and finally decided to dive in! I currently provide "safe harbor" to a trio of Old Town's, 1935 Otca,1939 Double Ended, and a 1947 HW. Just this weekend the trio grew to a quartet with the introduction of a Kennebec #16400. I really don't know much about this canoe; so any info would be greatly appreciated......OTDave

The Kennebec canoe with serial number 16400 is shown on pages 178 of volume three in the Kennebec ledgers. This was assigned to 16 foot long Kennebec model type A. It was planked by Roy on June 24th, 1921. The canvas covering was applied by Tuttle and the first filler coat was applied by Polgooskoy on July 1st, 1922. The second filler coat was applied by Grant on July 15th, 1922. The rails were installed by Lantigne on July 22nd, 1922. The original paint color was green. There appear to be two sets of shipping information that have both been crossed out. My guess is that it shipped after May of 1923.
