The Old Town canoe with serial number 184221 is a 16 foot long FG (fiberglass) model. It was built in October and November, 1969. The original exterior gelcoat colors were desert white on the deck with a blue hull. It shipped on May 13th, 1970 to Danvers, Mass. A scan of this build record can be found by following the link at the thumbnail image attached below.

This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See http://www.wcha.org/about-the-wcha/ to learn more about the WCHA and http://store.wcha.org/WCHA-New-Membership.html to join.

I don't know of anyone who has created exact reproductions the decals used on your canoe. The bow combing had a nameplate like the one shown at http://www.ebay.com/itm/280854638945 recently on eBay. A similar decal is available at http://store.wcha.org/Old-Town-Decal-1956-1978.html in the WCHA store. The sides had decals like the one at http://www.ebay.com/itm/150794467692 but the colors were black with a light blue outline. The stern deck had a decal showing the design award that this canoe had won in 1966. Let me know if you want to get these reproduced and I may be able to get you some high resolution scans of good quality originals. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.
