Enthusiastic about Wooden Canoes
I purchased this canoe today, identity unknown. Once again , being new to this 'activity' , I was quite pleased; almost amazed, I must say, with the gentleman who owned it now for some time. So far, it seems that people with an admiration for the wood/ canvas pieces of art also have so much overall with their likes and values as my own. This canoe was perched in the rafters of a building that seemed a large scale copy of a maple suger saphouse. Among other things below it was an awesome 'trawler', a tug boat like boat, but one designed for pleasure use. Anyways, back to my find. Ive enclosed pics. Measures 16' 2" by 34 1/2". The thwarts seem mohagabym but look newer than the rest of the boat. One seat is bolt suspended with dowels, while the other is bolted without spacers. Any help identifying make, yr, and rarity with be much appreciated
