Curious about Wooden Canoes

I have a recommendation to fix partially cracked ribs with penetrating CA (cyanoacrylate) glue. The cracks are just hairline cracks that do only go half way through the ribs. What of it?

Titebond III or epoxy? The titebond label says that it is not waterproof and that it not for structural or load bearing application.
