Deck mounted flag holder

Can anyone give me some guidance as to a) how to make, or b) where to buy hardware or bracket for a deck mounted flag? Thanks! LEW

I don't know anyone who sells flag pole sockets for canoes but you can probably make one from a flat piece of brass. The images below show some examples.

The smallest version of this one looks pretty decent in brass and takes a 3/4" pole.

Tube?

The AA Otca I'm finishing up has two flag holders - diamond shaped like the ones in Benson's photos. In this case, there is a tube brazed onto the diamond that extends through and below the deck. The flag shaft would sit in the tube.
