Coleman one burner Exponent stove

Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
Anybody know about these? I have had one for 5-6 years (in addition to my 40 year old two burner). The pump is erratic: can’t get a prime 90% of the time. Must I replace the whole pump assembly? It has a little rubber gasket, instead of the leather one found on the old 2 burner.

It’s now very unreliable and aggravating. Works one minute, then no prime the next.

Larry,

If you don't find a new gasket try this. Squirt some fairly heavy duty, like 30 weight oil, into the pump assembly(gasket area) and it might just give you the air seal results you're after.

Soon after my first post, after an hour of messing around, it worked fine again. I've oiled it. Perhaps its a quirky problem with the check valve. Thanks for trying to help. I prefer the leather thingie on the 2 burner - it dries out but revives easily with an oiling.
