When did E.M. White stop making closed-gunnel style canoes?

Looking through the E.M. White catalogs (which are part of the Historic Wood Canoe and Boat Company Catalog Collection CDs available from http://www.wcha.org/catalog/ and http://www.dragonflycanoe.com/cdrom.htm on the web) I see the canoes in the 1925 White catalog designated open gunwale, with no mention of a closed wale option. Someone else may know the exact year that White stopped offering closed gunwale canoes, but generally, by 1920 or so, the public was more accepting of open gunwales--- they saw the advantages, and builders phased out closed gunwale canoes.
