Canvas question

Old Town sailing dinghy with centerboard. Bed around box;canvas; slit canvas and then leave 1/2"; tuck 1/2" under; bed again and then tack? I have never done a w/c boat with a centerboard. Thanks Mike.....

Your description sounds right. It requires lots of bedding compound and there is usually a wide external keel with a slot that helps hold everything down tight. The image at http://forums.wcha.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=6485&d=1226688183 shows one on an old special sailing canoe model and the ones attached below show a more modern Old Town sailing dinghy.

Thank you Benson (as always). At my age I sometimes doubt my own common sense. My wife does. The pictures helped a lot. I don't even have the boat in hand but I do like to plan ahead. Cheers Mike.....
