I recently purchased a 1924 Old Town 16' canoe. A copy of the build sheet was included. The canoe No. is 84509, order No. 4034. Where might I find more information about the canoe, such as specifications, etc.? Thanks, Walter PS Tomorrow I will try to verify the canoe number by looking at the stems for a visible number.

The WCHA bookstore has a CD with the complete collection of Old Town catalogs ( http://store.wcha.org/The-Complete-Old-Town-Canoe-Company-Catalog-Collection-CD-ROM.html ) . The catalogs give specifications, prices, available accessories, etc.

If, upon your examination, the serial number of you canoe turns out to be different, let us know, and we will get the correct build record.
