Canoe ID Request

Lew's Canoes

Canoe Builder
I bought this canoe over the weekend and would like some help in identifying it. It is 17 foot, and all rails, thwarts, and decks are mahogany. Numbers (letters?) in the stems (both the same) are CCP4 17. Since I found the canoe in the Fingerlakes Region of New York State, I thought it might be a Penn Yan, but after looking in the recent issue of Wooden Canoe on their numbering system, I am simply confused. I look forward to any and all thoughts! Thanks, LEW

Hi Lew,

Sure looks like a Penn Yan Owasco to me. Turn the first letter into an "O" and the "P" into a number and there you go.
