Can anyone identify this sailing kayak?

Made by the Kayak Boat Company, New York. It is built of cedar ribs and planks, covered in canvas; and is fitted for sailing. I would rebuild it if it has value and I could get some specs.

The 1941 brochure shown at http://www.ebay.com/itm/401111945583 indicates that this was probably home made. I suspect that the value is limited, even if you rebuild it. The information at http://forums.wcha.org/showthread.php?57 describes how to value an old canoe and much of that could apply to this kayak. The general rule of thumb is that restoration and repairs are rarely a good investment financially. They can pay in lots of other ways if you like the boat and enjoy projects like this but don't expect to make any profit. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.
