Boy Scout Canoe

I am the Camp Director of a Boy Scout camp in Connecticut. Recently the camp was donated an Old Town canoe. The serial; number of the canoe is 1373. I would very much like to know the history of the canoe. Any information would be appreciated.

This number is lower than the available Old Town Canoe records. Many old canoes with low serial numbers like this turn out to have a hidden digit or two. Can you provide some pictures of the serial numbers from each end along with a few of the decks and interior of the canoe? The information at http://forums.wcha.org/showthread.php?791 may also help.
