Anyone ever seen these? Really OT goods?

I don't recall ever seeing anything like this before in person or in any catalog. My guess is that this is a standard Old Town cushion that was attached to a metal box that came from somewhere else. Did anyone here get it or has anyone seen a box like this before?

I've seen similar boxes for old time waterfowling.... I think they were called gunner's boxes or blind boxes...
The inside kept your hunting gear, sandwich, and shells dry. The top popped open and locked when turned. The hunter then had a cushy seat and to sit on with the necessary items close at hand. I suspect, as Benson mentions that the cushion may be Old Town, and added on.
