For those of you who are held captive indoors today by the cold weather, here is a diversion.
A college buddy, who lives near Memphis and has been active with a Boy Scout troop for years, took a trip with them in 25 foot strip-built canoes on the Mississippi river this past September. These canoes were apparently built by the outfitter. This is a link to a 10 minute video done for Arkansas Tourism which shows these canoes afloat. It's a promotional video, but not too bad. You might enjoy it.
