Welcome to the Forums--
Old Town 104604 is an 18 foot CS (Common Sense or middle) grade Guide model canoe that was completed January to May of 1930, with Western red cedar planking, open spruce gunwales and a keel. Original color was guide special green. I see a mast seat in your photo; this isn't mentioned in the record but was possibly added later. The wood species of the trim isn't specified but CS grade indicates any hardwood other than mahogany-- Guide model canoes commonly had seats, thwarts and decks of oak, maple, birch or ash. Your canoe was shipped to Lake Hopatcong, NJ, on May 29, 1930. Image of the scan of this record is attached below-- click on it to get a larger image.
This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available athttp://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See
http://www.wcha.org/about-the-wcha/ to learn more about the WCHA and

It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.
