Hello and welcome,
This appears to be the correct record, based on what you've said... let me know if it isn't and I'll keep looking:
Old Town 184742 is a 13 foot lightweight model canoe that was finished March and April of 1970, with 20 inch decks, outside stems, and a keel with full-length stem band. It was painted dark blue and shipped to a gentleman in Woodacre, California, on April 21, 1970.
Sounds like a special order, with the longer decks and outside stems-- more tricked-out than I can recall seeing in a little lightweight of this vintage. Please post pictures.
A copy of this scan is attached below--- click on it to enlarge the image.
This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at
http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See
http://www.wcha.org/wcha/ to learn more about the WCHA and

It's a real treasure to have a family canoe-- especially one you helped to pick out. If you need any advice/direction regarding the restoration of this canoe, you've come to the right place!
Kathy
