I finished the restoration of my 1940's molded mahogany canoe
and now I'm ready for bottom paint.
I am going to do a two tone blue and yellow.
yellow on the bottom third blue on top.
which color should I do first?:confused:

I don't think it matters which you do first. But why paint a molded mahogany canoe?

because someone in the golden age fiberglass thought it would be
a good idea to glass the outside.
I started to strip it but it was damageing the veneer.

Paint the yellow first. Then use 3M fine line tape to separate the colors and paint the blue. The yellow won't cover very well, but the blue will.
