What I think is a chestnut Pal

Fiddleheadcanoes

I am restoring a what is unknown, but believed to be a chestnut pal. This wooden canoe has no seats, has arched rounded decks and has a serial number picture follows. I was told that chestnut does not keep serial number? Also this looks to be a new boat from 10 years back, does someone still make these? I pick up the boat in Nova Scotia Halifax area.

I measured the distance between gunwales center thwart to be 32 inchs and the depth is 13 inches under the center thwart or 14 inchs above.

She is very round or has a lot of rocker does not stay on horses very well wright side up. She is 16 footer images where added.

If you want more images my canoe shop is on FaceBook link to images next https://www.facebook.com/media/set/edit/a.146090355526333.30596.100003761070562/

If you post more pictures, it'll help... the deck, the stems, profile of the ends, overall picture, seats, thwarts... the more info people have, the better they can make assessments.
