Old Town Serial number info

Curious about Wooden Canoes
Hi all!
I was wondering if there is someone who can help me with some info on a 16’ Old Town canoe? My research has been limited since I don’t really know what I have... the serial number is 232707.
I have included some pics below as well. Thank you in advance for any info or help received. It is greatly appreciated!!

Ps- pics aren’t showing up. I have them saved in an album named old town canoe. I may have to post a few more times before I can include the pics? Sorry. New here and just learning the rules. I will try to get them posted.

Welcome, the Old Town with serial number 232707 is a 16 foot long Guide model with a keel. It was built between April and July, 1980. The weight was 78 pounds. The original fiberglass exterior was left clear to show the natural wood. It shipped on August 7th, 1980 to Dallas, Pennsylvania. A scan showing this build record can be found by following the link at the thumbnail image attached below.

This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will donate, join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See http://www.wcha.org/about-wcha to learn more about the WCHA and http://www.wcha.org/store/membership to renew.

It is possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.
