I bought another canoe

John Sand

LOVES Wooden Canoes
Familiar, right?
I started canoeing at about four years old when my Dad built a kit canoe, probably Trailcraft. Another followed. I’ve owned many boats, almost all wooden. Only three canoes I think, a cedar and glass square stern, a Tom Hill Atwood Traveller (glued lapstrake plywood) and now a mystery wood canvas 15’ boat that has been fiberglassed.
In searching for boats or information on listed canoes I often landed here. So I signed up for the forum and will join the association. I’m on Long Island NY, and mostly paddle and sail canoes in salt mashes or bays, and our few small rivers. I have car topped a canoe to Cape Ann, and to Florida.

John, you landed in the right place. Folks here are encouraging and ready to help with all things canoes (and small boats in general)!

Roger, son is in college in Glen Cove. Great area. May be up that way getting a couple canoes, will let you know. Always good to meet "enthusiasts".
