Chemical Stripper for Wood

Enthusiastic about Wooden Canoes
I am using some Star 10 stripper I got from Noahs. Here in Nevada it dries out really fast even on a 60 degree day with no wind. It is supposed to "stay wet." I am removing old varnish on the inside of the hull. I can sand the ribs, but the planks between are going to take forever. Any ideas?

Anyone use a heat gun to remove varnish?

Cover your stripper with Saran wrap, or the stretch-wrap plastic you get at a moving place like U-Haul. Let the stripper do its thing for maybe an hour, then scrape. It is probable that some spots will require a second application. TM..
