2020 WCHM Canoe & Wooden Boat Show Cancelled

The Wisconsin Canoe Heritage Museum (WCHM) has announced that due to the ongoing pandemic it is cancelling its 2020 Canoe & Wooden Boat Show originally scheduled for May 23, and all the associated activities at the museum held in conjunction with Wisconsin Canoe Heritage Day. In addition, the WCHM Canoe Shop has been closed to public use, and all scheduled classes and gatherings have also been cancelled through April and May.

“We want to help protect the health of our community and we know that the boat show often attracts more than 400 people, which would not allow for proper social distancing even though the event takes place outdoors,” explains WCHM Executive Director Jed Malischke. “Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you at the museum later this year or at our show in 2021.”

Wisconsin Canoe Heritage Day is produced by the WCHM each year on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. For more information you can contact us at info@wisconsincanoeheritagemuseum.org or 715-635-2479.

The Maine Canoe Symposium and WCHA Assembly have suffered a similar fate. Tough year,
