Pintles and Gudgeons

I've hit plenty of rocks and logs or maybe they were bodies dumped by the mob, run up on sandy beaches with no worry about damaging the stem I drilled. thats why we have kick up rudders. Gudgeons riveted through the side of the stem can do just as much damage when ripped off in a collision with an immovable object.
That's my story and I'm stiking to it!

Hi Andre

yes I made those stars, actually they are pentacles not to be confused with pentagrams, that would be an upside down star.
This design started when I made an engraved name plate for the bow that said Witchcraft canoe co. Hibernia NJ with a pentacle on it.
It was kind of a joke because no one can identify the maker of this canoe, even after posting photos many times and many people seeing it first hand.
so the name alludes to the fact that I don't know which canoe make it is,
get it, which craft.

I will post some photos of the other brightwork on the boat Iv'e done.
