Old Town with sail

Welcome and congratulations, the Old Town with serial number 134395 is an 18 foot long, Guide model with open spruce gunwales, ash decks, ash thwarts, ash seats, a keel, a painter ring, a mast seat, a mast step, and a rudder. It was built between December, 1941 and June, 1942. The exterior paint color was dark red. It shipped on June 12th, 1942 to Camden, Maine. A scan showing this build record can be found below.

wow, to a J Henry Rushton. how about that.
The Professor John Henry Rushton described at length on page 101 of the document at https://engineering.purdue.edu/ChE/aboutus/publications/100_years/4_Chapter_4.pdf came from Pennsylvania and appears to have no close family connection to the famous John Henry Rushton who built canoes in Canton, New York.
