The Old Town canoe with serial number 183592 is a 15 foot long Trapper model with a keel. It was built between July and September, 1969. The original exterior fiberglass was left clear to show the natural wood. It shipped on September 23rd, 1969 to the Chicagoland Canoe Base in Chicago, Illinois. The Trapper model was built on the same form as the fifty pound model with a fiberglass covering instead of canvas. The Chicagoland Canoe Base still exists as shown at http://chicagolandcanoebase.com/ on the web.
