Thanks for letting me join the group. I was told this is the place to come and get info on this Old Town 12’ boat I found in a barn here in Maine. Any info would be appreciated. Serial number 159437. Thanks.

Welcome and congratulations, the Old Town with serial number 159437 is a 12 foot long, AA (or top) grade sportboat with half ribs and a keel. It was built between February and April, 1953. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on May 1st, 1953 to Houlton, Maine. The back side indicates that there was a previous request for a copy of this record from California, Maryland in April of 1979. Scans showing both sides of this build record can be found below.
