This sure was fun...even with less than ideal weather. I applaud those that came in from the north...a group from Marquette, MI and John Summers from Peterborough. They didn't waste any time and got on the water in cool temps and breezy conditions at 8pm Friday night. They all said it was warmer than from where they had come...makes sense. It is all relative. Morning temps were under 30, afternoons around 45. As happens...the next weekend (yesterday) as 65 degrees, still winds and sunny. Here are a couple still photos. Thanks again to all who contributed to planning and that made it in for the Saturday paddling. It was fun!
Though always unpredictable, I'm thinking to back the date up a couple weeks next year. Remain open to all suggestions.
