ecotourists startled by wooden canoes

Andre Cloutier

Firestarter. Wicked Firestarter.
3 wooden canoes, 3 paddlers in Algonquin - quite apart from the kevlar and 'glass boats with 3 each in them - god bless outfitters. At least THEY were wearing PFDs. Many confused looks, one brave woman even spoke to us, the rest gave distrusting stares and nervous smiles.... Even the moose werent totally sure of us. The last butterfly to leave, however, was very social.
North Tea Lake, via Kawawaymog (round) lake. A joy.:)
Oh yeah, Portage is french for Torture.

I thought it was a bear turning over logs.Andre went in and patted the cow moose on the butt and asked her to pose but she was shy.
The butterfly was sitting in the water just out of reach so since I didn't have a skidoo I hopped into the canoe to rescue her.Good thing that the water was only knee deep as I didn't put on my PFD.More comfy sitting on it anyway.
Coming out on Saturday we met some paddlers coming in."You're going the wrong way"says they.
Ran out of Cheese says I.
