I am looking for recommedations for a DVD on Cedar Strip Boat Building. I am an experienced wood worker with a full wood shop, but a first time canoe builder.

Has any one seen the DVD Cedar Strip Boat Building by The Newfound Woodworks, Inc.?

As I understand it, the book "Canoecraft" by Ted Moores is considered one of the better resources for strip-building boats. That being the case, I assume the dvd's offered by Ted's company Bear Mountain Boats would be a good place to look:

I've watched the Newfound Woodworks Cedar Strip building dvd that can be rented from Smartflix.com. It's a worthwhile rental. I didn't rent the fiberglassing one, so I can't comment on it.

I have watched and recomend both DVDs from Newfound Woodworks. I have a lot of experience in fiberglassing a variety of objects not related to boats and they will show you some extremely good tips.
