'Gotta admit it...there are not many "real" wooden canoes in Northern California. However, there must be some, if not several, if not many stripper (stitch and glue as well) canoes in this part of the country. I started a wooden kayak group several years ago and want to try the same with canoes. If bi-monthly paddles and frequent dry-land get-togethers interest you let's "just do it!" After all, we may not have "real" wooden canoes out here (those are certainly welcome, too...just don't be offended by all the drool) but we do enjoy a 12-month paddling season. If you fit the mold (pun intended), please respond.
