Wanted to report that I just learned of the death of ROBERT N. THOMPSON. He died in Florida on 04 March 2006 at age 84. From 1962 until ?? he was employed by Chris-Craft. He was vice president of the sport boat division and later vice president international.

Bob was from Peshtigo, WI and one of the second generation family members of Thompson Bros. Boat Mfg. Co. His father was Theodore Thompson, Sr., one of he originators of Thompson Boat. After WW II the joined the firm at their branch plant in Cortland, NY where he eventually became general manager. He was a founder and vice president of Cruisers, Inc. at Oconto, WI in 1953.

In January 1959 he became president and general manager of the newly established Thompson Boat Company of New York, Inc. at Cortland, NY. This firm was purchased by Chris-Craft in January 1962.
