Band Saw Blade

There was some discussion a while back about a particular band saw blade used for resawing planking. I'm thinking it was 4-5 skip tooth and somewhat expsive but well worth the price. I've a bunch of western red cedar in need of resawing for planking and don't recall the name. Generally have used Delta and Sears but would like the name of the blade some of you were talking about.

If I remeber correctly, I think the thread mentioned Wood slicer blades from Highland Hardware. I have had good luck re-sawing planking with Timberwolf 1/2" blades, 3 or 4 TPI, from Suffolk Machinery.

Thanks Martin. Now that you mention it I think I recall the name. Will probably order one and give it a try. Used one of my old blades today and although I was able to resaw 5 slices out of a 2x4 it was a little slow.

The 1/2" Wood Slicer is still $29.95 and they now have a 3/4" for 105" and larger for
$35.99 and up. Can't beat "em.
