13.5 Old Town Whitecap

LOVES Wooden Canoes
I know this is not the perfect place for this post, but I could not resist sharing my latest find with the group here, and maybe hook up with someone else that has restored one of these, I just picked up an Old Town "Whitecap" sailboat, clinker built, looks like red cedar over oak, boat has been decked with 1/4 marine plywood, wondering if that's orginal or not, mast, boom are spruce, all trim is mahagony, everything is there and the hull is in very solid condition, with little or no evidence of rot, supposedly this was the same boat that a guy named Rober Manry sailed from Massachusetts to England back in 1965. Not sure what the future holds for this craft, if there's anyone with real burning desire (like "I always wanted one of these!" ) interest in it please let me know, Todd

No house on this example, other than a motor mount bolted onto the transom, this one looks pretty much as Old Town built it
